If you’ve had the chance to visit FCMoD during the last year, you know it can be a busy place – children are creating music, adults are in the tornado chamber, families are heading upstairs for a show in the OtterBox Digital Dome Theater, and more. Although we can’t precisely identify whose visit put us over the top, visitor services staff is excited to report that over 100,000 visits to FCMoD have been recorded since opening day on November 10, 2012. “I’m ecstatic about this number. It is truly the visitors, whether they are discovering us for the first time or the tenth, who transform FCMoD into a scene of wonder and excitement day after day,” said Amy Scott, director of visitor services for the museum.
FCMoD creates meaningful opportunities for people of all ages to learn, reflect and have fun through hands-on and collections-based explorations in science and culture. And don’t miss your opportunity to be a part of FCMoD’s exhibit FC150: A Sesquicentennial Celebration! Nominate a story about Fort Collins on the FC150 website or in person at the museum.
Haven’t been to FCMoD yet? There’s so much to see and do at the museum for all ages and interests – and great programs coming in August! Check the calendar for information about hours, admission prices, programs, and upcoming events, or call the museum at (970) 221-6738.
